New Hampshire could have women in all major leadership positions - pretty cool!
And here’s hoping Carol Shea-Porter beats Rep. Frank Guinta, because he is a misogynistic douchecanoe.
Although, since Kelly Ayotte is anti Planned Parenthood and totally Anti Choice (unlike the other women in that group) no one should consider her a GOOD woman to have in power. She supports closing down Planned Parenthood because she disagrees with a legal medical procedure that makes up 3% of their work >.<
IF YOU DON’T WATCH KEY AND PEELE YOU ARE MISSING OUT.
This video is so amazing i cannot even begin to can. The best part is that Obama - the real Obama - said he’s watched this skit before and loves it. OBAMA APPROVES OF YOUR ANGER TRANSLATIONS.
I knew there was a reason I liked that man.

Mitt Romney, a privileged white man worth a quarter of a billion dollars who has sheltered his money from taxes in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Switzerland, and who never misses a square meal, stooped to a new obscene low in blaming the victim on Monday by slamming the Palestinians for not being richer. Palestinian politician Saeb Erekat characterized Romney’s remarks as “racist,” but even that was charitable. Romney didn’t mention a little thing like US direct aid to Israel of over $100 billion and indirect aid to the tune of tens or hundreds of billions more.
It is telling that Romney has no idea the economic straits to which the Palestinians have been reduced by right wing Israeli policies toward them. (A majority of Israelis favors withdrawal from most of the West Bank if a peace settlement were reached with the Palestinians; Over a third would even evacuate large settlement blocs like Ariel. But the right wing wants all of the West Bank as Israeli territory, though they can’t figure out what to do with the 2.5 million Palestinians to whom it belongs; or rather, they can’t say openly what their ultimate resolution would be).

Esperanza, a teenage girl with acute leukemia living in the Dominican Republic, will die if she doesn’t start chemotherapy treatments as soon as possible. But she’s nine weeks pregnant, and her country banned abortion even in cases where the mother’s life is in danger back in 2010.
And here’s yet another reason it’s stupid to outlaw abortion.
This is what pro-lifers want.
So, how does it feel pro-lifers? How does it feel to know you’ve accomplished this?

Here’s an abortion compromise
Declare that abortions themselves are not illegal at any trimester, but receiving an abortion results in charges of:
- premeditated murder for the lead doctor
- accomplices to the crime for the mother and nurses
Exclusions:
- Pregnancies resulting from rape*
- Pregnancies which would result in the death of the mother
- Pregnancies resulting from spontaneous insemination (i.e. virgin mary)
*In order to receive exemption, a rape charge must be filed, and the woman must testify in a trial
Why?
- When a person kills a pregnant woman, regardless of trimester, it’s double homicide.
- Killing due to self-defense is protected in the court of law. In this case, the unplanned pregnancy is attacking a woman, without her consent. Therefore, she is given an option to choose. The exclusionary rule is present to limit fraudulent rape claims.
- The woman should not be denied the right to abort a child. Crimes are not punished before they are made.
Everyone wins. The woman gets out of her poor judgment and serves time-out via a prison sentence without losing her life, and she maintains her reproductive rights.
If you want to put a woman in prison for receiving an abortion, that’s not keeping it legal; that’s criminalizing it. You highly contradict your first statement. “The woman gets out of her poor judgement…” Way to shame women* for choosing to have sex, a natural drive. Birth control is not 100% nor always accessible.
If a pregnant person is murdered it IS NOT always considered double homicide! I know right? There’s no federal law. NONE. It goes by a state by state AND case by case basis. Usually the biggest factor is the stage of the pregnancy. I know! Facts are fun!
Oh and, how would immaculate conception be proven? I’m reallly dying to hear that.
Just found this on the internet.

ARE YOU ASSHOLES FUCKING KIDDING ME? Last I checked President Obama passed the ACA which will lead to a healthier fucking country aka less people dying. Hitler fucking committed the worst genocide in recorded history.

UNLESS YOU’RE GAY IN NV. YOU HAVE TO BE 18 FOR GAY SEX.
Wait, when did we get different rules for gay sex?
Uh oh….
I think Australia has something similar, or at least parts of it. According to a friend of mine, there are different ages of consent for “normal” sex and “sodomy”, essentially giving gay men a different age of consent. So ughtastic.
How about: the state minds its damn business and stays out of the bedroom? That would just be swell.
It should also be noted that a lot of states have rules that basically say that if you’re (for example) 16 you can have sex with other people under 18, or within x years of your age, but you can’t have sex with people over 18 or with a age difference of more than x years. Just because you’re of the age of consent doesn’t mean you can legally consent to everyone.
The laws make sense in some ways, like a 13 year old really shouldn’t be sleeping with a 25 year old. It’s not an equal relationship in any way, and a 13 year old is definitely vulnerable to a 25 year old, and any 25 year old who is having sex with a 13 year old is definitely taking advantage of that.

Catholic bishop who gave $20,000 to pedophile priests gets invited to speak at religious right’s big 2012 “Voter Values Summit”.
When Timothy Dolan was elected president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in 2010, Frank Cocozzelli wrote that this was an indication that “They are going to escalate the culture wars at the expense of economic justice.”The Dolan-led Bishops and their allies on the Religious Right have certainly lived up to that prediction, even as it is worth underscoring that they had been moving in that direction for some time. This is important context for what I am going to say here. But this is not about that.
I couldn’t help but notice that Cardinal Dolan is listed, as of this writing, as among the invited and confirmed speakers for the Values Voters Summit, the premier annual political conference of the Religious Right. Held in September, it is sponsored by such leading groups as The Family Research Council and AFA Action, the political arm of The American Family Association.Dolan is among those who have been invited but have not yet confirmed. He joins an impressive roster of conservative movement leaders, GOP politicians and Fox News celebrities. While the final mix will undoubtedly be different than the current page, I can’t help but wonder whether the invitation will be quietly withdrawn or perhaps, quietly declined.
The reason for such a discreet move might be the extraordinary recent story about how when Dolan was Bishop of Milwaukee, prior to his promotion to New York, he paid off priests accused of child sex abuse with as much a $20,000 to leave the priesthood.
The New York Times recently reported:
Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan of New York authorized payments of as much as $20,000 to sexually abusive priests as an incentive for them to agree to dismissal from the priesthood when he was the archbishop of Milwaukee.Minutes of a meeting presided over by Dolan in 2003 inwhich the payments were discussed, were part of the 2011 bankruptcy proceedings of the Diocese of Milwaukee, but only recently became public. Dolan had denied at the time that such payments constituted a “payoff” to pedophile priests. But that, it turns out to be exactly what they were.
Anyone who knows children are being raped and molested and does nothing about it has no damn right to talk about values, because obviously they have no values in the first place.
